Today on Thursday, 25 April 2024 The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed the payments dates for April approved Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant to millions of South African grant recipient.
According to the conformation made by SASSA the Social grant payments dates will start as of today and will then continued until next week Tuesday, 30 April 2024.
Approved recipients should expert payments to have a 2-3 days payments delay, meaning if you were approved today your payments should be processed on Sunday, in some case the funds may appear on benefiary bank account on Monday and funds processed in the last day of the months will appear starting from 2-3 May.
Its important to visit the SRD website to see if you have been approved, As a grant clients you should always preform a SASSA Statues check 2 times a months to avoid any delays.

Changes made in the April SRD grant
As of this months the grant will no longer be R350 according to the a South Africa Minister of finance Enoch Godongwana “I am pleased to say that we have found consensus that in between, subject to the finalisation of the comprehensive social security [programme], we’ll increase the R350 to R370 by the 1st of April this year. That is part of the progressive realisation of the basic rights of our people” Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced last months in the National Assembly on Wednesday, 13 March 2024.
