April 2024 SRD grant R370 to be paid soon by The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) which is given one of the most important role in South Africa, which is to look after South African citizens between the age of 18-60 years by providing them with a monthly allowance in a form of Social Relief of Distress Grant.
SASSA R370 SRD Grant Payments schedule
The South African Social Security Agency will pay the Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant) R370 to approved SASSA first and last batch grant recipient with payments dates on their status, start from the week of 21-28 April 2024, however clients are informed to always check their statues as there’s no “fixed payments dates”.
On the previews months of “March 2024” the payments dates where realised by SASSA on the 25 of March 2024 and where then processed from 25-29 March 2024.

SASSA Status check
Recipient are always informed to always perform their SASSA Status check via the official SRD grant website and clients with a declined status can apply for an appeal.
Approved with no payments dates Solution
On a post published last week by SASSA, approved clients with no payments dates are informed to update their banking dates.

Changes on the April SRD Grant
The Minister of Finance, Enoch Godongwana has announced” that starting from 1 April the R350 grant will be increased by R20 or 5.7%, bring the grant to a total of R370 per month.

Way forward
- Approved Recipient should wait patiently for payments to be processed.
- Declined recipient should read the social relief grant to see if they qualify, however if they see that they meet the requirements they should appeal.
- Approved clients should follow the agency solution, if their problems where not solved they should inform the agency.
Payments delays:
Some clients may experience Payments delays, however the agency said payments after being processed can take up to 2-3 days depending on which bank account they are using.
